What the fleet has seen

The Jaguar 25, as the fleet has seen it

Derived from the videos the fleet has analysed of this model. ▶ marks open the moment aboard.

The Jaguar 25 is a 7.6-meter masthead sloop designed by Frank W. Butler and built by Jaguar Yachts Ltd. and Russell Marine Ltd. from 1978 to 1984. It features a fin keel with a transom-hung rudder, a 2.5-meter beam, a 1.7-meter draft, and displaces 1950 kg. A twin keel version was available with a 3.06-foot draft, and an optional 7.5 hp Volvo saildrive diesel engine could be installed.10:53 The Jaguar 25 is structurally similar to the American Catalina 25. Aboard *Sailing Gently*, a long-term cruiser noted that boats built to a price, such as the Jaguar 25, often suffer structural failures like rudder breakage in heavy weather.9:02 This crew sailed a Jaguar 25 for coastal cruising in the Solent.5:45
