The Leopard 48 is a 14.8-meter catamaran designed by Simonis-Voogd and built by Robertson and Caine between 2010 and 2018, featuring a fractional sloop rig with a rotating spar and a twin keel hull. With a 7.6-meter beam and 1.5-meter draft, it displaces 16,999 kg. Aboard *Wind Therapy*, a Leopard 45, the crew prepared for hurricane season in Grenada by removing sails and halyards, deep cleaning bilges, and vacuum-sealing soft goods for five months of storage.9:00 They installed hatch covers and used smart plugs to cycle a dehumidifier remotely.22:24 The crew of *Wind Therapy* sailed the Maine coast, navigating dense fog and lobster traps using radar, and later transited the Panama Canal, requiring a canal advisor and extra line handler.14:22 They encountered an inverter failure in the Caribbean, forcing a stop in Antigua for water, and experienced anchor drag in Martinique.3:59 The crew upgraded their Leopard 45 with a Raymarine Quantum Doppler radar, a 12-inch helm MFD, and increased solar capacity to 1,600 watts.1:22 They replaced lead-acid batteries with lithium, added a Strataglass cockpit enclosure, and installed security features like motion-activated pirate lights and Ring doorbells.19:51
