The Moody 35 is a 10.5-meter masthead sloop designed by Bill Dixon and built by Marine Projects Ltd. and Moody Yachts between 1990 and 1996. It features a twin keel hull with a 1.2-meter draft and a displacement of 6032 kg; a fin keel option was also available. Aboard SailingBritican, a family transitioned from weekend sailing on a 35-foot Moody in the UK to full-time cruising on an Oyster 56, logging 30,000 nautical miles.1:10 The crew emphasized that boat life requires significant maintenance and that mechanical failures are frequent.3:17 They highlighted the social aspects of the cruising community as a primary benefit.4:22
