The Open 5.00 is a 5-meter fractional sloop with a rotating spar and a swing keel, designed by Jean Marie Finot and built by Philias Boats and Open Sailing Inc. since 2000. It has a 2.24-meter beam, a 1.58-meter draft, and displaces 263 kg. The design includes an asymmetrical spinnaker on a sprit, measuring 258 square feet. The Open 5.00 is a distinct model from the IMOCA 60 and Class40, which are larger racing yachts.
