The Ranger Yachts 22 is a 6.9-meter fractional sloop designed by Gary Mull, originally conceived as an IOR mini-ton racer. Built by Jensen Marine, Ranger Yachts, and Mariner Construcoes Nauticas Ltd. since 1977, it features a fin keel with a spade rudder, a 2.4-meter beam, and a 1.3-meter draft, displacing 990 kg. A boat of this design was also produced in Brazil. Aboard Hashtag Sal, a couple learned boat maintenance and sailing skills on a Ranger 22 before transitioning to a larger FES 310 for coastal cruising from Rio de Janeiro.3:36
