What the fleet has seen

The Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 30i is a fractional sloop designed by Marc Lombard, built by Jeanneau from 2008 to the present. It features a fin keel with a bulb and spade rudder, with a length overall of 9.0 meters, a beam of 3.2 meters, and a displacement of 3944 kg. A beachable keel/centerboard version is also available. Aboard *Piratas Aderiva*, the crew prepared their Sun Odyssey 30 for a passage from Funchal, Madeira, to Porto Santo, performing maintenance that included cleaning the bilge and replacing fenders.1:42 They noted that boats under 10 meters, like the 30i, often qualify for lower marina fees, potentially saving 30% on mooring costs.8:14 The crew also suggested that a maximum length of 35 feet is ideal for single-handed sailing due to manageable sail handling and equipment weight.7:11
