After noticing white smoke from the exhaust and reduced water flow, they inspect the cooling system and find the impeller missing several vanes. They remove the debris from the heat exchanger circuit and install a new impeller to restore proper cooling. During the same period, the crew hosts a guest, Lucas, and prepares for a six-hour coastal passage to the west of Puerto Rico. They practice hoisting the mainsail while maintaining a 45-degree angle to the wind. The crew also clarifies a previous incident involving local police, explaining that a scene depicting a tense encounter was a staged prank performed with the officers' cooperation. The engine maintenance successfully prevents overheating, allowing the vessel to continue its planned transit.
