What this video covers

Johan and Malin complete the exterior fiberglass lamination on their 50-foot boat hull.15:12 After sanding the port side, they apply biaxial cloth, twill weave, and peel ply to the hull and bow section.Watch The team uses a polyester-based peel ply for the port side, noting it is more prone to wrinkling and harder to remove than the nylon version used previously.3:08 To maintain a wet-on-wet application and avoid sanding between layers, they complete the bow area in a single, continuous session without breaks.10:11 The bow section requires complex shaping to conform the cloth around the nose cone, resulting in 10 total layers of 600-gram fiberglass at the waterline.13:03 The work is performed in a barn heated to 12–13 degrees Celsius, with the team utilizing a custom-built lamination table to organize materials and speed up the process.11:02 With the exterior lamination finished, the hull is now prepared for the next phase of the build.15:12
