What this video covers

Steve pauses work on the wooden boat Arabella to provide end-of-life care for his mother in Granby.0:05 To prepare the vessel for an indefinite period of inactivity, he props open all locker doors to ensure airflow and prevent damage from movement. He sets fans to low in both the saloon and the forepeak to maintain circulation. The refrigerator is emptied to prevent spoilage. While the project timeline remains uncertain, Steve plans to retrieve the boat Victoria from Maine when possible to continue minor work. Once personal obligations conclude, the crew intends to sail toward warmer climates for the winter. Regular project updates will resume once the current family situation stabilizes.
