What this video covers
Max and Ale have returned to their boat, Y2K, at Nawi Island Marina in Fiji after a three-month absence in Italy. The couple spent their time in Italy selling their long-term home, which required clearing out 30 years of belongings, and managing administrative tasks including renewing passports and identity documents. While in Italy, they also sourced spare parts for Y2K, noting that components are higher quality and more affordable there than in Fiji. They traveled from Milan via Hong Kong, arriving at the marina on September 29. The pair plans to remain in Fiji through the upcoming cyclone season, which begins December 1, and will retreat to Nawi Island Marina if severe weather threatens. Scheduled maintenance for early 2025 includes replacing the engine mounts and repairing leaking deck covers at Vuda. Max intends to hire a mechanic for the engine mount replacement to ensure proper shaft alignment. The couple has also upgraded their camera equipment to improve future video production.
