What this video covers
A 13-boat Christmas lights competition at Fareham Sailing and Motorboat Club in Portsmouth ("Pompey") draws crews who decorate their boats and compete for the best display.0:53 Sarah, the self-described "Christmas captain," organises the event as a team-building exercise, and judge Nick Miller calls the effort noticeably stronger than the previous year.1:17 Boats range from a heavily lit entry described as "Blackpool Tower meets Regent Street" — decorated by George, who also jokingly claims credit for the fog effect on the Spinnaker Tower — to a deliberate single-bulb display by the self-styled Grinch entry.3:36 One boat carries a Rudolph figure that has lost its red nose.2:00 Nick and Tracy host their boat and say they enjoy the annual tradition.4:09 The Spinnaker Tower is visible in the background throughout.1:02 No navigation, passage-making, or technical sailing content appears; the focus is the marina Christmas celebration.
