What this video covers

The crew of the aluminum catamaran SV Delos installs upholstered ceiling panels in the salon, marking a significant milestone in the vessel's ongoing build.0:49 To ensure a precise fit, the team dry-fits each panel, adjusting the tension of the vinyl upholstery by shifting staples to eliminate gaps.5:49 Once aligned, they install LED strip lighting, soldering the connections and securing the panels to the overhead structure.6:03 The team also removes the remaining starboard panels for professional upholstery, clearing the way for final installation.7:28

Beyond the structural work, the crew evaluates interior design options for the salon sofa, weighing material durability against aesthetic comfort.16:11 They prioritize outdoor-rated fabrics to withstand sun exposure and moisture, opting for textured, neutral tones over solid colors to complement the existing rock maple and concrete finishes.19:21 The project remains in the planning phase for upholstery style and fabric selection, with the crew soliciting input on design choices.21:18
