What this video covers

The owners of a catamaran perform several maintenance tasks while anchored in Le Marin, Martinique, during the end of the hurricane season. The captain replaces a corroded, leaking sink drain assembly in the head with a standard siphon, resolving a persistent drainage issue that had caused water to pool on the cabin sole. He also removes, cleans, and re-installs deck cleats that were previously mounted with temporary resin inserts and sealant. To improve the aesthetics of the aluminum hardware, he sands the mounting washers to a polished finish before securing them with fresh sealant. The crew plans to renovate the interior of a child’s cabin by removing a small bunk, rotating a portlight to improve ventilation, and repainting the space in white and gray. Additionally, the crew sources a quote for a new 22mm bridle, estimated at approximately 80 euros for six meters of line per side. The captain confirms that the new sink plumbing is watertight and the re-installed cleats are structurally sound.
