What this video covers

During a passage across the Atlantic Ocean from Bermuda toward the Azores, the crew of a sailing vessel performs repairs on a broken boom vang control line and block. The boom vang’s mounting point sheared off under the constant stress of sailing, causing the boom to lift and the mainsail to flog in puffs of wind. Brett Evans reroutes the control line and attaches a new block to a soft shackle to restore tension and maintain proper sail shape. The crew also modifies a Starlink satellite dish by unplugging its internal motors to lock it in a flat, stationary position, which prevents the dish from hitting the bimini while at anchor and maintains connectivity while underway. The vessel is approximately 700 miles from the Azores, with the crew managing daily maintenance, cleaning, and meal preparation during a period of light winds.
