What the fleet has seen

The Lagoon 380, as the fleet has seen it

Derived from the videos the fleet has analysed of this model. ▶ marks open the moment aboard.

The Lagoon 380 is a 38-foot fractional sloop catamaran, designed by Van Peteghem and Lauriot-Prevost, built by Jeanneau and CNB, and introduced in 1999.3:07 It measures 11.6 meters LOA, with a 6.5-meter beam, 1.1-meter draft, and displaces 7,259 kg. The model sold approximately 1,000 units over two decades, establishing Lagoon as a mainstream manufacturer.3:12 The Lagoon 380 features a mezzanine helm station between the cockpit and coachroof for single-handed maneuvering and docking.3:32 Its infusion-molded hull construction and flared hull design increase interior volume in the forward cabins.13:39 The layout includes a three-cabin owner’s version with a dedicated master hull and a guest hull with two cabins.3:47 The cockpit and saloon integrate into a single living space via a modular door system.9:29 Aboard *Sailing Doodles*, a chartered Lagoon 380 maintained speeds of seven to eight knots in 22 knots of wind during a 15-mile passage in the Saronic Islands, Greece.14:34 Crews must flake the anchor chain manually on the Lagoon 380 to prevent it from piling up in the small chain locker.7:58
