The Bristol Yachts 28 is a 8.5-meter masthead sloop designed by Halsey C. Herreshoff and built by Bristol Yachts Inc. between 1972 and 1974. This model is an earlier, racing version of the Bristol 29.9, distinguished by less stern overhang. It features a fin keel with a rudder on a skeg, displaces 2993 kg, and has a 1.6-meter draft. Aboard *Sailing Artha*, Nicole sails her Bristol Yachts 28, named Artha, in North Carolina, where she has repositioned solar panels from the cabin top to the dodger to free space for a life raft or dinghy.1:03:38 She also replaced the raw water pump on Artha's Yanmar 3GM30F engine after discovering a worn shaft and a broken drive belt.0:10 Nicole has committed to sailing Artha offshore, including an ocean crossing, and is refitting the boat with a new freestanding bimini frame and dodger, planning to address stanchion leaks and install self-tailing winches and a DIY autopilot.watch
