The Ranger Yachts 29 (MULL) is a masthead sloop designed by Gary Mull and built by Ranger Yachts from 1970 to 1975. It features a fin keel with a rudder on skeg, measures 8.7 meters LOA, has a beam of 2.8 meters, a draft of 1.4 meters, and displaces 3039 kg. A 1973 Ranger 29 was used for five days of sailing coaching in San Diego, California, focusing on fundamental sailing skills and managing boat ownership anxiety.8:23 The coaching addressed a client's self-taught habits and the psychological aspects of operating a vessel.21:15 The Ranger 29 was replaced in production by the Ranger 28 in 1976, also designed by Mull.
