The Cascade Yachts 36 is a Robert A. Smith-designed cutter-rigged sailboat, built by Yacht Constructors Inc. since 1967, with an LOA of 10.8 meters and a displacement of 5669 kg. Early models featured a traditional transom, a longer fin keel, and a sloop rig without a bowsprit, while later versions adopted a cutter rig and a spade rudder. Aboard *Sailing Palomita*, a crew sailing a Sabre Yachts 42 encountered a Cascade Yachts 36 named *De Novo* at Santa Rosa Island, where a crew member from *De Novo* sustained a knee injury.2:43
