The Beneteau Cyclades 50.5 is a 15.7-meter masthead sloop designed by Berret-Racoupeau, built by Beneteau from 2008 to 2010. It shares its fin-keel hull with the 50.4 and 50.3 variants, primarily differing in cabin count, with the 50.5 featuring a five-cabin layout. Most 50.5s were sold into the charter trade. Aboard *Spirit Animal*, a 2006 Beneteau Cyclades 50.5, the owners have customized the vessel for off-grid living, installing 3,050 watts of solar power and a 1,350-amp-hour lithium battery bank.0:19 The boat carries 210 gallons of water, supplemented by a watermaker, and is powered by a 110-horsepower Yanmar turbo diesel engine.0:11 Its deck includes a 77-pound Ultra anchor on 170 feet of chain, an electric windlass, and color-coded lines.2:15 The cockpit features dual helms with mirrored Garmin chart plotters.25:05 One cabin has been converted into a workshop and laundry area, and the deck provides space for surfboards and drone launching.7:16
