The Elvstrom 32 was offered in both flush deck and coach roof models, and its hull design may be shared with the BES/Elvstrom 1/2 Ton, forming the basis for several other yachts. The Half Ton Classics World Championship in Hankø, Norway, features a diverse fleet of historic racing yachts, including modified designs like the 1972 Elvstrøm-designed *King One*, which has undergone significant changes to its rig, keel, and cockpit for IRC rating optimization.10:20 The 1979 Eivind Amble-designed *Norwegian Steam* also competes, utilizing a shortened mast and large spinnaker.2:50
