What the fleet has seen

The Endeavour 42, as the fleet has seen it

Derived from the videos the fleet has analysed of this model. ▶ marks open the moment aboard.

The Endeavour 42 is a Masthead Sloop designed by Johan Valentijn and built by Endeavour Yacht Corp. from 1985 to 1991. It measures 12.9 m LOA, with a 4.0 m beam, 1.5 m draft, and 11339 kg displacement. Aboard *Sailing Zephyr*, a 1985 Endeavour 42 named *Sea Dogs* was destroyed in Formentera, Spain, after dragging anchor without a snubber and becoming pinned between rocks.3:02 The owner, sailing solo and sleep-deprived, had anchored with a 7:1 scope, but ferry wakes contributed to the boat's grounding.4:13 The vessel, uninsured, sustained structural damage that led to its total loss, requiring the owner to dismantle it to manage disposal costs.7:21
