The Sirius 40 DS, as the fleet has seen it

Derived from the videos the fleet has analysed of this model. ▶ marks open the moment aboard.

The Sirius 40 DS is a 12.9-meter fractional sloop designed by Marc-Oliver von Ahlen and built by Sirius-Werft since 2015. It features a fin keel with a rudder on a partial skeg, displacing 11,600 kg. Optional keel configurations include fixed drafts of 2.0m or 1.75m, a twin keel at 1.45m, and a swing keel adjustable from 0.95m to 2.45m. Aboard *Sailing Northern Brees*, the boat sailed along England's south coast, encountering 30-knot squalls near Beachy Head and navigating the strong tidal currents of the English Channel.5:44 The crew reported a near-collision with a dredging vessel off Brighton and assisted in a rescue operation for two people in the water.6:52 The boat's journey included stops at Royal Clarence Marina in Gosport and Poole, before the crew altered plans at Portland Bill to head south towards France.10:44
