The Hunter Yachts 39 is a 12.0-meter sailboat designed by Glenn Henderson and built by Hunter Yachts and Hunter Marine from 2009 to the present. It features a B&R rig and a fin keel with a spade rudder, displacing 8199 kg. A shoal draft wing keel version was also offered, with a displacement of 18,501 lbs and a draft of 1.52 meters. The standard draft is 2.0 meters. An optional 40 HP inboard engine was available. Aboard *Sailing Mirage*, an experienced yachtsman who owns a Hunter 39 joined a passage from Saint Thomas to Culebra, Puerto Rico, having previously completed solo voyages from Annapolis to Key West.1:27
