The Hunter Marine 450 PASSAGE is a 13.5-meter sailboat designed by the Hunter Design Team, built from 1996 to the present, featuring a B&R rig and a fin keel with a bulb and spade rudder. It displaces 11875 kg with a 1.7-meter draft and a 4.3-meter beam. Aboard *Sailing Jibsea*, the Hunter Marine 450 PASSAGE, named Gypsy, demonstrated a 20-degree apparent wind angle on a starboard tack but struggled to point higher than 40 degrees on a port tack in winds under 15 knots during a 220-nautical-mile passage from Menorca to Sardinia.8:52 The crew encountered light-wind performance issues and an unsuccessful attempt to install a single-line third reef due to an insufficient line length.4:27 During the passage, the boat navigated disorganized seas in 15–22 knot winds and later motored when winds died near Sardinia.11:24
