The Outremer 55 is a 16.3-meter fractional sloop catamaran designed by Gerard Danson and built by Atelier Outremer between 2008 and 2010. With a 7.8-meter beam and 2.4-meter draft, the vessel displaces 8,499 kg and has a maximum load capacity of 13,000 kg. Aboard *Catamaran Mistertong*, Djé and Nad sailed their Outremer 55 from Grand'Anse to Sainte-Anne, Martinique, in 18–19 knots of wind, setting scissors sails for a downwind point of sail.17:52 They anchored in a crowded bay, deploying 40 meters of chain. *Sailing Sweet Ruca* raced an Outremer 55 during a 500-mile passage from Gambier to Amanu in the Tuamotus, French Polynesia, encountering 3-meter waves and 60-degree wind shifts.watch The Outremer 52, a related model, demonstrates high resale value and performance, maintaining speeds one knot faster than competing monohulls in 10–15 knots of wind during sea trials off Port Ginesta, Spain.
