The Westerly 33 is a masthead sloop designed by Laurent Giles and built by Westerly Yachts Ltd. from 1977 to 1985. It has a fin keel with a rudder on a partial skeg, measures 10.1 meters LOA, 3.4 meters beam, 1.7 meters draft, and displaces 6505 kg. The model was initially offered with aft or center cockpit configurations, and with fin or bilge keels, and sloop or ketch rigs. In 1979, the aft cockpit version was renamed the Discus 33, with the Westerly 33 name reserved for the center cockpit model. Aboard *Wildling Sailing*, a Westerly 33 was part of a fleet sailing a 70-mile passage from Italy to Corfu, navigating light winds and 28-knot gusts.2:44 Another Westerly 33 served as temporary accommodation for a couple searching for a new boat in Port-Saint-Louis-du-Rhône, France.8:36
