The X Yachts X-40 is a fractional sloop designed by Niels Jeppesen and built by X Yachts from 2004 to 2010. This CE category A certified performance cruiser shares its basic hull design with the IMX-40. It measures 12.2 meters LOA, with a 3.8-meter beam, a 2.1-meter draft, and displaces 7449 kg. The X-40 offers sail area options including a 135% Genoa, 108% Genoa, or a self-tacking jib, and draft options of 1.8 meters or 2.4 meters. Aboard SEILmagasinet, the X-40 is noted for having interior volume and headroom comparable to a Dehler 39 or Beneteau First 40.7.3:44 Its construction quality is considered high, aligning with brands like Arcona and Luffe.13:22
