The X Yachts X-40 is a 12.2-meter fractional sloop designed by Niels Jeppesen and built by X Yachts from 2004 to 2010. It features a fin with bulb and spade rudder hull, a 3.8-meter beam, a 2.1-meter draft, and displaces 7449 kg. The X-40 shares its basic hull design with the IMX-40 (2000) and holds CE category A certification. Optional drafts include a shallow 1.8-meter version and a sport 2.4-meter version, with sail area options for 135% Genoa, 108% Genoa, or a self-tacking jib.
