The pilot notes that the hard stony coral species observed on the structures grow at a rate of only one-quarter to one-half inch per year. Visibility during the dive reaches 80 to 90 feet. The submarine operator confirms the vessel is capable of surface navigation and requires training for operation. The dive concludes after observing local marine life and the progress of the 35-year-old coral experiment.
