What this video covers
Sven Yrvind is currently assembling the Vectorwinds, the third iteration of his small boat design. He is installing four long fillets and 14 screws to secure the deckhouse, using corks to protect ventilation pipes from epoxy ingress. The new design features improved Ruma clutches and a deckhouse extended to the hull edges to maximize interior space, though this configuration complicates the placement of AIS equipment. Yrvind previously built three boats, including the Amphibrieze, in a commercial workshop near Yotoboy before local zoning regulations forced his relocation. He and his partner, Olga, subsequently purchased a property near Lyseskid to establish a combined boat-building workshop and residence. They constructed a multi-story tower building on the site, incorporating a workshop floor and living quarters. The project required years of self-managed construction, including digging foundations and installing pillars, while the couple also developed the surrounding land with fruit trees and a pond to increase their self-sufficiency.
