What this video covers
Matthias and Luisa make their first catamaran cruise in the Saronic Gulf, Greece, sailing aboard a boat named HAER. Departing from Kilada, they cover 10–12 miles to Portocheli, then set out on a 20-mile leg toward Hydra. Hydra's harbor is described as small and crowded in season, with boats rafted two or three deep; they anchor off instead. Storage cards for the GoPro run out early in the trip, limiting filming until Matthias finds replacement cards on Hydra. From Hydra they sail west to the island of Dokos — nearly uninhabited, with a landscape described as highland-like — where they anchor and practice anchoring under sail to reduce engine dependence. Wind pushes the boat against a wall at one anchorage; they judge it unsafe after a long passage and move on. The next leg targets Monemvasia on the Peloponnese coast, roughly 40 miles away, with a stop at a beach called Fukiano where a single taverna is still closed for the pre-season. Pre-season sailing in the Saronic Gulf is noted as relaxed, with anchorages uncrowded and conditions light.
