After a failed attempt to repair a leaking propane regulator with JB Weld and later 4200 sealant, the owner purchases a new local regulator and tank, only to find the new unit incompatible with the existing hose diameter. Simultaneously, the saltwater pump fails to prime. After replacing the pump with a new TMC unit, the owner discovers the issue is actually a blockage in the intake hose connected to the through-hull. The owner attempts to clear the obstruction by opening the through-hull while afloat, but the angle of the fitting prevents access from inside the cabin. The owner also fabricates a temporary door latch using a screw and bracket to compensate for sagging leather hinges. Frequent, intense squalls during the Indonesian rainy season complicate these repairs, forcing the owner to manage sunshades and collect rainwater for rinsing.Watch
