The Beneteau Oceanis 46 is a fractional sloop designed by Berret Racoupeau Design, built by Beneteau from 2007, and marketed in the US as the Beneteau 46. It features an interior by Nauta Design and an optional shallow keel. With an LOA of 14.4 meters and a displacement of 10,565 kg, the model is used for extended cruising and transatlantic passages. Aboard *Sailing Yacht Ula*, the crew completed a 19-day transatlantic passage to Grenada, maintaining speeds between 6.5 and 10.8 knots with a genoa and cruising chute.7:46 They have also sailed extensively in the Mediterranean, including passages between Turkey, Greece, Malta, and Tunisia, often motor-sailing in light winds or navigating 30-knot gusts with two reefs in the main and a reef and a half in the genoa.10:48 The crew of *Sailing Sunday* encountered uncomfortable rolling in following seas while sailing from the Abacos to the Exumas and experienced mainsail jamming issues. *Sailing Yacht Ula* also dealt with a solar regulator failure in the Dodecanese and a generator failure during a transatlantic crossing.5:29
