What the fleet has seen

The Catalina Yachts 426 is a 13.3-meter fractional sloop, part of the Catalina 6 Series, introduced in 2024. Designed by Gerry Douglas, it features a fin with spade rudder hull, a 4.2-meter beam, a 2.0-meter draft, and displaces 11,113 kg. The 426 shares a similar hull with the Catalina 425 but incorporates updated keels, laminate, and deck design.7:49 Its construction uses multiaxial fiberglass, with carbon fiber in select areas, for a stiffer structure.7:50 Notable features include custom Catalina / Mars shoal draft lead keels with a cruising bulb low-drag form, and a mainsheet system trimmable from both port and starboard sides of the cabin top. The deck design is wide and clear, with a single shroud point for foredeck access. An optional 16-gallon auxiliary fuel tank is available, and the boat comes with a larger Group 31 starting battery.
