What the fleet has seen

The Clubswan 43, as the fleet has seen it

Derived from the videos the fleet has analysed of this model. ▶ marks open the moment aboard.

The Clubswan 43 is a 14.6-meter performance sailboat designed by Juan Kouyoumdjian and built by Nautor Swan since 2024, featuring a fractional sloop rig and a fin with bulb and spade rudder hull. With a displacement of 7050 kg, the boat is optimized for ORC racing, utilizing a narrow waterline that requires a 20-degree heel to engage its full beam for stability. During sea trials in 15 knots of wind, the Clubswan 43 maintained speeds of 7.5 to 8 knots at 22 degrees apparent wind.47:05 The interior, designed by Lucio Micheletti, uses cork for insulation and weight reduction, and features removable hanging bags instead of traditional lockers to facilitate weight shedding for regattas.49:24 Aboard SEILmagasinet's review, the boat's 30-horsepower engine produced a top speed of around 9 knots, and its open interior lacks a dedicated sea berth.46:32 Early performance in the ORC European Championship in Spain showed mixed results against older designs like the Swan 42 and DK Yachts 46.50:56 The base price for the Clubswan 43 is approximately 820,000 EUR, excluding sails.
