The Moody 36S is a 1981–1983 Masthead Sloop designed by Angus Primrose and built by Marine Projects Ltd. and Moody Yachts, featuring an aft cockpit and a fin keel with a rudder on skeg. With an LOA of 11.0 m, a beam of 3.8 m, and a displacement of 6667 kg, it is an aft cockpit variant of the Moody 36. Aboard *Bambola*, a Moody 36S, the crew survived a 70-knot storm at Lady Musgrave Island, Australia, holding position with a CQR anchor while other vessels dragged onto a coral reef.5:33 The *Bambola* has been sailed through the Caribbean and the Panama Canal, and its crew navigated the challenging, reef-strewn entrance to Suvorov Atoll in the South Pacific using visual pilotage.5:00 The Moody 36 is considered a capable and comfortable cruiser for long-distance sailing, offering superior handling and interior space compared to catamarans of similar size.14:29
