The Ocean 60 is a 1981 Richard Rascoe-designed masthead ketch built by Southern Ocean Ltd. and Southern Ocean Shipyard Ltd., measuring 18.3 meters LOA with a 4.7-meter beam and a 2.4-meter draft. It displaces 28,122 kg. Aboard 59° North Sailing, Morten Lannmark owns a Volvo Ocean 60, a 1997 carbon-fiber hulled former Whitbread Round the World race boat named *Toshiba*.5:46 Lannmark purchased the boat in Germany and uses it for cruising and regattas, noting its sound hull but requiring electrical system overhauls.13:39 He modified the interior with hardwood floors and an electric head.7:51 He installed a custom anchor system, but stows the primary anchor inside the hull in rough conditions to protect the Kevlar bow.35:07
