What the fleet has seen

The Oceanis 41 (Beneteau), as the fleet has seen it

Derived from the videos the fleet has analysed of this model. ▶ marks open the moment aboard.

The BENETEAU Oceanis 41 is a 12.4-meter fractional sloop designed by Finot, Conq Assoc. and built between 2011 and 2015, featuring a fin keel with a bulb and spade rudder. It displaces 8777 kg with a 2.2-meter draft and a 4.2-meter beam. The model was later updated and renamed the Oceanis 41.1 around 2015. Modern performance-oriented designs like the Oceanis 41 use wider beams and higher sail-carrying capacity, which can result in more rapid heeling when powered up compared to heavier displacement cruisers. Aboard *Arribaçaia*, a 2000 Beneteau Oceanis 41, Bruno Baqueiro completed a solo circumnavigation attempt, relying on traditional seamanship to manage equipment failures, including a 1,000-mile passage where he steered manually after an electronic autopilot failure.2:35 The *Chez Team* crew purchased a 2016 Beneteau Oceanis 41, which features a drop-down transom that converts into a swim platform, dual helms, and primary winches for the genoa.1:14 They installed a new inverter to support increased power demands for a laptop and Starlink, and plan future upgrades including a watermaker, generator, additional battery capacity, and a stern arch for solar panels and davits.1:25
