Markus and Mathias Berthet report from day three of racing at Kieler Woche, the major regatta held in Kiel, Germany. The day brought heavy, gusty conditions — 15 degrees Celsius, rain, and strong squalls — forcing race officials to send the fleet out, recall it to shore, send it out again, and then abandon racing after roughly 15 minutes on the water. No races were completed that day. Earlier days had featured lighter and more variable wind.
