What this video covers

Edgar and Sâmia construct and finish a custom staircase and integrated storage system for their boat interior.7:20 The project involves building two functional storage compartments into the lower steps of the staircase, designed to house small items and an air conditioning unit.7:20 The crew applies edge banding to the staircase structure using a heat gun and a trimming tool to ensure a flush finish.12:04 They plan to install white oak vinyl flooring on the treads to match the interior aesthetic.5:50 During the finishing process, they emphasize the importance of removing excess epoxy residue from wood surfaces before applying final coatings, as the adhesive becomes difficult to sand once cured.10:15 The interior renovation also includes installing cabinetry panels and trim to create a cohesive, light-colored finish throughout the living area.14:41 The project remains ongoing, with future work planned for the galley and a removable ceiling system.19:25
