The Hh 44 is a 15.2-meter fractional sloop catamaran with twin daggerboards, designed by James Hakes and built by Hudson Yacht Group since 2021. It displaces 9389 kg and features an EcoDrive hybrid propulsion system, integrating a 10-kilowatt electric motor with a 3-cylinder Beta Marine diesel engine in each hull.3:48 This system allows for diesel-only, electric-only, hydro-regeneration, and diesel-generator modes, providing approximately four knots of speed for three hours on electric power.10:10 Aboard *Gone with the Wynns*, the Hh 44 *Curiosity* was equipped with a digital switching system for centralized control of lighting and navigation, C-curved daggerboards for lift, and a galley with an induction stove and ACUVA water purification system.15:39 The vessel's construction involved foam-composite cabinetry to minimize weight and a built-in fuel polishing system. *Curiosity* underwent a shakedown cruise from China to Subic, Philippines, encountering 15 to 20 knots of wind and reaching speeds up to 10 knots.0:37 Despite initial delays and issues like a leaking depth sounder transducer and incorrectly sized shrouds, the boat demonstrated stability and quiet operation.10:32 However, *Gone with the Wynns* later sold *Curiosity* back to the manufacturer due to persistent technical issues, prompting HH Catamarans to engage marine experts to address defects and validate the design.0:04
