The Bali 5.4 is a 16.8-meter fractional sloop catamaran, designed by Xavier Fay, Lasta Design Studio, and Olivier Poncin, and built by Catana and Bali Catamarans since 2019. It features a twin keel hull and a light displacement of 20,799 kg, with a maximum displacement of 29,800 kg. Aboard *Sailing Doodles*, a 2024 model was observed with a solid fiberglass foredeck, replacing traditional trampolines to reduce weight and wave slap.1:25 The boat includes a hydraulic dinghy lift and a salon door that retracts completely to create an enclosed, climate-controlled living area.0:25 Its interior offers five cabins, including a master suite with separate head and shower, and a U-shaped galley with a full-size refrigerator.2:43 The flybridge is accessible from both sides, and the helm station uses Raymarine electronics.5:48 The design prioritizes interior volume and living space, featuring a self-tacking jib and a large flybridge, which limits sail area and performance. *Sailing Doodles* noted the Bali 5.4 is better suited for coastal cruising or charter operations than long-distance offshore passages, with larger Bali models generally exhibiting better build quality.7:33 Dan and Kika of *Sailing Uma* sailed a Bali 5.4 as part of a fleet of 11 charter catamarans during the Odyssey Sailing Festival in the British Virgin Islands, hosting guests for a nine-day cruise that included group sailing and social events.13:32
