The Island SPIRIT 525 is a 15.8-meter fractional sloop catamaran, designed by Group Island Spirit and built by Island Spirit Catamarans in Thailand since 2022. It features a twin keel hull, an 8.2-meter beam, a 1.5-meter draft, and displaces 16,500 kg. The model is available with electric propulsion, offering 65kW (87 hp) rated power or optional 2x 80 hp motors, and can be configured with three, four, five, or six cabins. Aboard *Sailing Doodles*, Bobby White ordered an all-electric Island SPIRIT 525 with three cabins plus an office, mast furling, and DC motors, planning to take delivery in Thailand.18:14 His hull number five, the 525E, features shaft-drive electric motors, sacrificial keels, six underwater hull lights, and a four-cabin layout with a dedicated owner's office.2:25 The boat has a 360-degree helm enclosure, integrated camera systems for docking, and electric furling and winches.1:53 A test sail showed the boat maintaining nearly seven knots while drawing 25 amps of power.7:16 The 525E also features a flybridge with Starlink and solar panels, Selden winches with in-mast furling, and a 25-kilowatt-hour house bank capable of running the air conditioning chiller system without a generator.3:21
