Gunboat 55

The Gunboat 55 is a 17.4-meter carbon fiber catamaran designed by Nigel Irens and built by Gunboat, with production beginning in 2015. It features a fractional sloop rig, twin daggerboards, and a lightship displacement of 12.5 tonnes. The model has an 86-foot air draft and a 25-foot beam, with a sail area-to-displacement ratio of 35. Power comes from twin 39-horsepower Yanmar 3JH5E diesel engines and 720 amp-hours of 24-volt Mastervolt lithium batteries, supported by 2,700 watts of Solbian solar panels and a 10-kilowatt Phasor genset.
