The Lagoon 55 is a 16.6-meter luxury cruising catamaran, designed by VPLP Design and built by Lagoon since 2021, featuring a fractional sloop rig and twin keels. Its exterior was designed by Patrick le Quement and its interior by Nauta Design. The vessel displaces 27,700 kg, has a 9.0-meter beam, and a 1.6-meter draft.7:12 It is typically powered by twin Nanni N4.115 115 hp engines or Yanmar 4J engines, carrying 291 gallons of diesel and 254 gallons of water.2:27 The design emphasizes interior volume and single-level living spaces, with flush side decks and a flybridge helm station equipped for single-handed operation.3:51 The main saloon includes a galley, navigation station, and a convertible sunbed, while hulls house staterooms with private heads and island-style berths.7:06 The flybridge features a lounge area and rooftop windows for sail trim visibility.4:26 The 95-foot bridge clearance limits its use on the Intracoastal Waterway. Aboard *Sailing Parlay Revival*, the crew noted the significant increase in beam and interior volume compared to their Lagoon 450.7:51 The Lagoon 55 is optimized for large-group Caribbean chartering.
