The Hanse Yachts 458 is a fractional sloop designed by Judel, Vrolijk, Co. and built by Hanse Yachts since 2018. It measures 14.04 m LOA, with a 4.38 m beam and a 2.23 m draft, displacing 11,700 kg. A shallow keel option reduces draft to 1.82 m, increasing displacement to 12,100 kg. The boat can be equipped with an optional 80 hp engine.32:39 Aboard *45 Degrees Sailing*, a Hanse 460 (a 2022 production yacht) showed ergonomic challenges, including hydraulically operated cockpit tables that block lazarette access when lowered.1:30 The manual swim platform requires significant effort to raise, and its bathing ladder is steeply angled.15:29 The cockpit seating can leave a dangerous gap at the stern without optional seats, and these seats lack non-slip surfacing.5:28 While the boat offers good maneuverability with bow and stern thrusters, the cockpit winches and Selden rigging appear undersized.9:17 Interior issues include a cramped bathroom door and galley electronics placed in a wet area.21:48 Electric winch controls at the helm and soft-close galley drawers perform well.23:03
