The Hunter Marine 310 is a 9.4-meter sailboat designed by the Hunter Design Team and built by Hunter Marine from 1997 to the present. It features a B&R rig with no backstay, a fin keel with a bulb, and a spade rudder. The boat displaces 3855 kg and has a draft of 1.7 meters, with a shoal draft version available at 4 feet. Aboard *keeldragger*, a Hunter 310 named *svRiff Raff* sailed a coastal passage from Los Angeles Harbor to Newport Beach, California, maintaining speeds of 5 to 6 knots under main and staysail, later adding a Yankee jib. *svRiff Raff* also participated in a transit from San Pedro, California, to White Cove on Catalina Island, motor-sailing at 6 to 8 knots in light winds.14:16
