The Kraken Yachts 58 (DIBLEY) is a 17.7-meter Solent-rigged cruiser designed by Kevin Dibley and built by Kraken Yachts, with production beginning in 2025. It features a fin keel with a skeg-mounted rudder, displacing 27,500 kg lightship and 31,300 kg at full load. The design incorporates a Zero Keel, molded integrally with the hull to eliminate keel bolts, and an Alpha Rudder system with a full-length skeg reinforced by an internal stainless steel beam.4:54 The Alpha Rudder's three bearings include a main Jepha needle roller bearing accessible and replaceable from inside the vessel.8:11 These structural features are intended to enhance directional stability, lower the center of gravity, reduce pitching, and protect against debris and grounding.7:28
