What the fleet has seen

The Lagoon 38, as the fleet has seen it

Derived from the videos the fleet has analysed of this model. ▶ marks open the moment aboard.

The Lagoon 38 is a 13.1-meter fractional sloop catamaran, designed by VPLP Design with exterior styling by Patrick le Quement and interiors by Nauta Design, built by Lagoon Catamarans from 2025. Its twin-keel hull is infusion-molded and features a flared design above the waterline, which increases interior volume in the forward cabins.7:36 The catamaran has a beam of 6.7 meters, a draft of 1.3 meters, and a displacement of 10,240 kg.21:30 A mezzanine helm station, positioned between the cockpit and coachroof, facilitates single-handed maneuvering and docking.2:46 The layout includes a three-cabin owner’s version with a dedicated master hull, or a guest hull with two cabins and separate shower stalls.3:47 The cockpit and saloon integrate into a single living space via a modular door system, and technical storage in the bow accommodates a generator and auxiliary water tanks.9:29 During sea trials, the Lagoon 38 maintained 7.5 knots on a beam reach in 19 knots of apparent wind and reached 8.3 knots under power.14:39 Aboard *Sailing Doodles*, a Lagoon 38 charter in Greece sailed 18 miles to Vathi, where winds increased to 26 knots, requiring a second reef in the mainsail.0:37 The crew used the boat's single-line reefing system, which can bind if not carefully managed, to adjust sail area without turning into the wind.1:25
