The O'day 23-1 (LIFT TOP) is a masthead sloop designed by C. Raymond Hunt Assoc. and built by O'Day Corp. from 1972 onward, with over 1500 units produced across all versions. This 7.0-meter sailboat features a keel/centerboard hull, a 2.4-meter beam, a 1.6-meter draft, and displaces 1406 kg. Its distinguishing characteristic is a 'lift top' coach roof that can be raised from the hull, a feature later reduced to a 'Convertible Top' before being abandoned in the O'DAY 23-2 variant. The lift top version has a keel-stepped mast, while later versions with the Convertible Top moved to a deck-stepped mast with a tabernacle.13:24
