The Tiburon 36 is a 11.0-meter staysail ketch with a long keel, designed by W.I.B. Crealock and built by Cabo Rico. Introduced in 1972, it displaces 9525 kg with a 1.5-meter draft and a 3.5-meter beam. In 1976, its molds were adapted to produce the Cabo Rico 38, an aft-cockpit variant.7:46 Aboard *Practical Sailor*, a Tiburon 36 was noted for having a heavy-duty, garage-floor-style coating, which can obscure structural damage or wood rot, making professional surveys essential for used boat purchases.8:20
